Santa Claus Parades:
- Bowmanville: November 17, 9:30am
- Newcastle: November 18, 5pm
- Courtice: December 2, 11:30am
The Library is participating in three Santa Claus parades, and is welcoming students to join us in the parades in exchange for volunteer hours. The float’s theme is “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, and participating may require you to walk the entire parade route, as well as assist in setup and tear down of the float.
Each parade typically takes a minimum of 2 hours to complete; regardless of actual parade time, 3 hours will be given at minimum, up to the actual time participating in parade duties. You’re welcome to participate in more than one parade!
In addition, volunteers who dress in theme as “Whos” from Whoville will receive up to 2 additional hours (to account for the time you take at home to prep your costume!) For those who opt not to come in costume, red Library shirts will be provided to be worn over sweaters and jackets.
PLEASE NOTE ELIGIBLE VOLUNTEERS MUST BE ENROLLED IN A CLARINGTON SECONDARY SCHOOL.
