Who We Are
Mission: The Durham Hawks promote community health, wellness, and longevity across the Durham Region by engaging adults in structured physical activity, fostering leadership, and supporting essential local social services.
Vision: To serve as a pillar of athletic excellence and civic support in Courtice and the broader Durham community—building a healthier region through the unifying power of amateur hockey, teamwork, and local partnership.
History: Operating out of South Courtice Arena as a proud franchise in the Northern Premier Hockey League (NPHL), the Durham Hawks corporation was established to bring competitive senior amateur hockey back to the local community while actively giving back through regional outreach and youth mentorship.
What We Do

Youth Mentorship & Leadership: Partner with regional minor hockey associations and youth sports organizations to share core values of fair play, dedication, and teamwork through active athlete mentorship.
Community Outreach & Partnerships: Directly support Durham-based social services—including local food banks and youth sports subsidy initiatives—through charitable drives, event fundraising, and volunteer engagement at our home games.
