Clarington Public Library, Museums & Archives are pleased to announce our 2023 TD Summer Reading Club Kick-Off Party on Friday June 30 from 11am to 2pm on the grounds at Waverley Place in Bowmanville. This outdoor event will feature musical entertainment from Dan the Music Man, children’s activities, community organization booths and pizza! To make this event a success, we are seeking high school volunteers to assist with activities and various duties.
This is a great opportunity to gain high school volunteer hours while engaging with families in the community!
Examples of duties:
- Assist with program registration
- Run activities or games
- Help direct participants and answer questions
- Food and refreshments
