Brain Wave Café provides a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for people with dementia and their care partners to meet once a monthly for socialization, improving well being and reducing isolation. This group meets the 1st Thursday of each month at the Bowmanville Older Adults Ass. starting on Jan 5. 2023 from 1:30 - 3:00. The volunteer welcomes the guests and fosters a safe environment for the participates to enjoy conversation and discussion in a safe environment. The volunteer will promote interaction and participation by providing positive verbal support and encouragement. Volunteer will assist with offering tea, coffee and light refreshments to the participants.
