This opportunity is suitable for students looking for secondary school community involvement hours, or adult volunteers.
The businesses of Historic Downtown Bowmanville are hosting visits with Santa and would like volunteers to assist with line management and distribution of Christmas-themed gifts to children at the conclusion of the visit.
Volunteers need to be comfortable speaking with adults and children in a polite, respectful, and friendly manner and will be provided with a holiday themed hat to wear during the volunteer shift.
Volunteers must commit to entire 3 hour shift from 1-4pm. Additional shifts are available on Saturday December 7 & 21 (see other opportunity posts).
Opportunity is outdoors in downtown Bowmanville at the corner of King & Temperance. The weather will be COLD and volunteers must dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable footwear.
