Gift and Coffee Shop operated by the Association of Hospital Volunteer Bowmanville. All monies raised by the volunteers through sales supports important equipment purchases for the Bowmanville Hospital. Currently funds are also being raised to support a one-million-dollar pledge for equipment for the upcoming hospital expansion.
Our goal is to have two volunteers on each shift. The duties of the volunteers include stocking and general tidiness of the shop; supporting customer questions on stock available; handling cash (cash register training is provided) and simple shift reconciliation.
Current shop hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:15-12:45
Tuesday and Thursday 9:15-3:30pm
On order to expand our hours of operation to meet the needs of our patients, visitors and staff we are seeking more volunteer help!
Please note that current hospital policy requires all volunteers to provide proof of 3 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (2 doses + 1 booster)
